25 April 2012 - China's Chongqing Unisplendour Chemical Co., Ltd., has said it is considering an IPO for some time next year. In addition, the company has stated that it is moving forward with expansion plans for Methionine and has set a target to achieve a capacity of 200 KT per annum by 2015.
Meantime, UNIS has said it has recently made progress on its short term expansion plans and is now in a position to confirm the following:
a) The company has now completed the construction of its 50 KT plant expansion and expects to start trial run tests by the end of April 2012.
b) Based on current projections, UNIS expects to start commercial production from this 50 KT capacity expansion in June 2012 and expects to have a total of 5,000 MT per month available to the market during H2 2012.
c) UNIS intends to begin the construction of a second 50 KT expansion during Q2 2012. Based on this expansion plan it expects to have a total of 100 KT per annum available to the market by Q3 2013.
